What Plated is

Plated turns restaurant menus and cooking requests into home recipes using AI. Recipes are generated automatically and are suggestions, not guarantees — always use your own judgment around food safety, allergens, and dietary needs.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, or that you don't have the right to share.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse anonymous access, or overload the service.
• Use Plated to generate or distribute spam, malware, or abusive content.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service without our permission.

Your content

You retain ownership of the menu text, photos, and cooking requests you submit, and of the recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists you create. By submitting content, you grant us a license to process, store, and display it as needed to operate Plated — including sending it to our AI provider to generate results, and displaying recipes you mark public or friends-only to the audience you chose.

You're responsible for making sure you have the right to submit any menu text or photos you upload.

AI-generated content

Recipes, substitutions, and menu parsing results are generated by AI and may contain errors — including incorrect ingredients, quantities, cook times, or allergen information. Always verify a recipe is safe for your own dietary needs and allergies before cooking it. We are not liable for any harm resulting from following an AI-generated recipe.

Termination

You may stop using Plated at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these terms or that we believe is harmful to other users or the service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Plated is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including damages related to relying on AI-generated recipe content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
